Design & Branding Chichester
Profile design opted for a very clean and classical approach to the branding for this project, this was in keeping with the historical connections of the name and the premises. Logo design was the starting point for the branding, the logo style, font and appearance dictate a certain personality, in this case, upmarket, historical with history and gravitas. Using good, classic typography allows the design work to be fairly plain and uncluttered, as well as being well suited to single colour printing, the addition by the client of a colour palette including a blood red and a traditional Peacock green further enhance the impression that this is an established, respected brand with history.
Profile Design are often asked to design logos, when we are, we do like to stress that the logo will dictate and communicate a lot about your company, what you do, what your values are, where your product or service sits alongside competitors, how seriously you are taken (if that’s important). Style, type, colours all play a part in how you will be perceived. Just as we dress a certain way to communicate what we feel about ourselves and how we wish to be seen, a logo is a statement.
Branding as a whole goes on to many other levels, specifying the ‘tone and personality’ of the text you write, how you answer the phone, what you project about yourself on social media along with all the usual design considerations such as; vehicle livery design, photography style, advertising, stationary, literature design and print and everything beyond and imbetween!
