We recently undertook the commission to produce the Chichester Cathedral hoarding design. The information panel which is 6 metres wide explains the restoration of the Chichester Cathedral roof.
Hoarding Design
The design features photographic images of the work and details of some of the repairs required. Profile Design also created the illustration plan of the roof. The design adheres to the current branding guidelines. The layout was partly dictated by the need to keep text within individual panels for production reasons.

Chichester Cathedral Roof
The copper roof that has covered the Cathedral since the late 1940s has been leaking. Despite ongoing repairs, rainwater has been seeping into the roof causing damage to the timber roof structure and interior masonry.
In January 2018 work commenced on the first phase, the Quire, with the building of an enormous scaffolding complete with temporary roof and enclosed with a wrap. A team of specialists including an architect, conservation structural engineer, carpenters, lead-workers and stonemasons were able to work through weather extremes, from gale force wind In January 2018 work commenced on the first phase, the Quire, with the building of an enormous scaffolding complete with temporary roof and enclosed with a wrap. A team of specialists including an architect, conservation structural engineer, carpenters, lead-workers and stonemasons were able to work through weather extremes, from gale force wind and snow to a heatwave, completing the first phase by Christmas 2018.
