Marchbank Design brief
When you are design a brochure to sell something of real quality more often than not the pictures do most of the talking. Keeping copy to a minimum allowed us to fully exploit the visuals on these brochures, Profile Design undertook all the external and internal photography. As the brochures were being created during the Autumn months and because the properties were still being finished this involved quite a lot of Photoshop image editing work to show incomplete areas as finished..adding windows, adding plants and turf to the gardens, removing reflections of skips and building equipment from the windows and even doing some digital paintwork to unfinished areas!
Digital Printing
For a small development like this the print requirement is usually minimal, in this case only 100 of each of the brochures was required, as the brochure design was A4 landscape, a format too large for the digital printers we use, we had to suggest a more unusual binding method, The individual sheets that made up the brochure had a spine created by Scoring 15mm in from the bound edge, this allowed the sheets to be drilled to accommodate stainless steel fixing screws, as the individual pages were very thick at 250gsm, the score allowed pages to be turned easily. The outside front and back covers were also matt laminated for protection and to give the brochures an upmarket feel.
Profile Design also created a smaller DL version of one of the brochures which was almost entirely images, this was also fixed with a stainless screw stud in one corner, allowing the individual cards to be fanned out by the user as a taster.
